Nichia wins! German court sentenced 100 million light German subsidiary WOFI white LED infringement

For Nichia chemical industries (hereinafter referred to as "the Nichia Corporation") in Germany Dusseldorf district court against the German Home Furnishing lighting products manufacturer WOFI Wortmann & Leuchten Filz GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "WOFI") of the patent infringement case (case No.: 4B O 132/16), the German court verdict in the latest released in July 4th this year, WOFI white LED infringes Nichia YAG is the European patent, patent No. EP 0936682 (Germany No. DE No. 69702929). WOFI is China's LED manufacturer in Taiwan, a subsidiary of photoelectron Limited by Share Ltd.

The court ruled in favor of Nichia's request, in addition to issue a permanent injunction, also proposed for life WOFI books damages amount and payment damage calculation.
