Note! The new version of solid-state lighting products standard V4.2 deposit four changes

New dangerous places lighting testing and documentation requirements

In the DLC version of V4.2, if the manufacturer through special categories of applications (including outdoor wall, square, floodlights and indoor high roof mining lamp main categories, apply for special categories of dangerous places, lighting) must meet additional documentation requirements. The specific requirements for the product through a special category for dangerous places lighting must be provided to meet the UL844 certification, certification document of compliance, including product certification and grade classification. If the product according to the major categories of existing (primary use) to apply, not in accordance with the Specialty application, you do not need to meet the requirements.

The new type of lamp

Please note that only capped LED only applies DLC LED lamp replacement requirements. The lamp is not capped by DLC as a refurbished kit, not in the scope of discussion. In the old standard, DLC is currently recognized 0.6 meters, 1.2 meters of LED tube and U tube. In the DLC version of V 4.2, DLC 1.2 meters will be split into three categories for lamp requirements for specific products:

1.2 meters LED replace T8 tube

According to Type A T5 and T5HO DLC tube, forced ballast factor 1 electronic programmed-start collocation ballast test, and the reported value must be submitted when power power combination lamp and ballast, and the lamp power is not bare.

T5 replacement lamp also need lamps photometric level test lamps. T5 test and T8 lamp tube without distinction. The new light effect tolerance

The policy of reducing the high light efficiency, low color temperature and color rendering index of product requirements. To meet the conditions and adjust the light effect as follows:

Hybrid LED policy adjustment

In the DLC V4.2 version, modified hybrid LED (Multiple LED Policy) policy, DLC accept a mixed LED with a LED PCB, but the number of each type of LED must be fixed, and can not adjust the dynamic control.

Need to upgrade product types:

The following products in version 4.2 before its entry into force, must be re submitted, otherwise it will be removed from the listing in July 28, 2017:

1) the use of special category (specialty) submitted Hazardous application products containing words. Manufacturers need to released in 4.2 within three months, the initiative to apply update column names and DLC audit requirements. 2) T5 and T5HO lamp, LED lamp for 1.2 meters in the class before, need to update the listing before July 28th, to meet the new standards. DLC on the charge for the normal cost of delivery, according to the normal audit cycle calculation.

Transitional timetable:

In May 19, 2017, for related to the dangerous places of lighting products and T5, T5HO lamp, DLC can still accept the use of the DLC V4.1 version of the audit, but must upgrade to DLC V4.2 version before July 28th, otherwise it will be removed from the list.

The light effect of concessions, DLC will automatically apply to the products listed before April 1, 2017.
