Novaled cooperation with the German university research and development, luminous efficiency of 90lm/W OLED lamps

Germany Dresden University of Technology (Dresden Technical University) and OLED provider NovaLED jointly announced the success of the OLED luminous efficiency up to 90lm/W, break the luminous efficiency of fluorescent lamp 50~70lm/W.

90lm/W OLED brightness per square meter 1000cd (general computer screen brightness per square meter; 300cd) providing system source through pairs, may be further increased to 124lm/W luminous efficiency. At present, even if the brightness reached square meters per 5000cd light source, scientists have only reached a luminous efficiency of 74. The above results are achieved using Novaled's PIN doping (doping) technique.

Novaled said, the next is yet to be overcome is the problem of the service life, another challenge is the Novaled into production, this expectation, OLED lamps for commercial production is expected in 2009~2010 years.

And other lighting source, OLED lamp can be made into various shapes, usually is presented in the 2D plane of large plate shape.
