In August 4th, the reporter learned from the Guangxi autonomous region highway administration that by 2015, Guangxi would invest about 3600000 yuan to complete the installation of the general highway tunnel lighting equipment.

It is understood that the ordinary highway tunnels in Guangxi are located between the mountains and valleys, including 6 middle tunnels of 500-1000 meters and 1 long tunnels with more than 1000 meters. Because of the early time of highway tunnel construction, it is restricted by the economic development and the technical level of the highway. For the middle and short tunnel with low highway grade and small traffic volume, the highway technical standard does not have mandatory requirements to the tunnel lighting, so the corresponding lighting equipment has not been installed in the tunnel built at that time.

In view of the rapid development of highway traffic and the rapid increase of traffic flow, the Guangxi autonomous region highway administration will install lighting equipment for the tunnel in the ordinary highway over 500 meters. At present, the plan is in the stage of technical demonstration.
