Philippines Davao City is considering replacing all existing lights for LED lamp

According to Philippines media reports, the Philippines City Council is now considering the Davao existing street to energy-saving lamp. The president of Philippines mayor Duthel Te, daughter of Davao City Sarah Dutewart (Sara Duterte) in the city address puts forward several legislative requests, street project is one of them.

In September 26th, Davao City representatives, majority leader Bernard Al (Bernard Al-ag) told reporters, in response to the mayor's request, he would submit a proposal to parliament, will replace the sodium lamp current for LED lamp.

A bulletin of the American Lighting Science Group said, "LED lamps have excellent visibility and color accuracy, so it can provide more security conditions for drivers and pedestrians. Compared with the standard high pressure sodium lamp, LED lamp consumes only 40% to 80% of the electricity.

Bernard Al (Bernard Al-ag) also said that on the street lamp electricity, Davao City monthly pay about 18 million pesos (about 2 million 350 thousand yuan). Through the use of LED lights, Davao City to pay electricity can be reduced by 30% to 40%.

Bernard Al (Bernard Al-ag) said that the city's 36000 Street Davao, converted to LED costs about 700 thousand pesos (about 91 thousand and 500 yuan), Davao municipal government cannot assume full funding.

He said: "I hope the power company Davao municipal government of Davao (DLPC) undertake procurement costs."

Sarah Dutewart (Sara Duterte) as mentioned earlier, the municipal government has asked the Davao power company (DLPC) the first installed LED lights in some parts of the city, including the downtown streets outside San Pedro, Bolton, Maja Lance and Davao Airport highway.
