PowerIntegrations LED drive circuit 9 components

Power Integrations company (POWI) recently announced the launch of a number of components, simple drive circuit for DI-92 few for LED lighting technology. DI-92 circuit requires only 9 components, can output 40mA current or output 0.5W power, suitable for emergency exit signs, night lights and other lighting.

DI-92 is a constant current drive circuit for LED, which uses a non isolated buck boost converter. This design uses a small number of components, so the volume is very small, light weight, the price is not high, the cost of material is about 50 cents (batch for 1000 hours).

DI-92 circuit design can use all the AC input voltage from 85V to 265V all over the world. It meets the requirements of the EMI specification CISPR22B/EN55022B, with more than 8dB margin, and meet the requirements of second types of safety standards.

DI-92 uses LNK302 power conversion integrated circuit, it is a product of LinkSwitch-TN series integrated circuit Power in the Integrations, the need for low power applications because of security reasons and isolation, it is the most suitable device. LinkSwitch-TN integrated high power MOSFET transistor, a 700V oscillator, a simple on-off control circuit, reduce the frequency jitter of EMI, and short circuit protection, thermal shutdown with hysteresis and open circuit protection function.
