Professor Taiwan develops LED lamps below 0.1cm thickness

Pingtung University of science and technology of materials engineering in Taiwan professor Cao Longquan invented the special solder, let LED thickness less than 0.1 cm, the LED lamp is like paper thin, with high heat dissipation effect, won the International Invention Exhibition Gold award.

At present, the high power LED lamp module uses more traditional packaging technology. Because of the need for metal processing, the bonding alloy is expensive and the thinnest thickness is still greater than 1.5 cm, and the thermal resistance coefficient is high.

Cao Longquan through the special solder, directly to the LED chip, fixed, high power LED lamp module made of special solder, reduce packaging steps, level and thickness, also has high heat dissipation effect, let LED thickness less than 0.1 cm, as thin as paper, and will cost down 20 times.

Cao Longquan's "thin, high power LED lamp" invented in the 2015 (eleventh) Taipei international invention and technology trade fair, won the gold medal. In addition, there are also "multi function split type crib", "IC chip copper bumps, surface tin coating treatment and tin substrate advanced packaging technology" won the gold medal.
