Renesas released the smallest mobile TV tuner varactor

Renesas Technology Corp (Renesas Technology Corp.) days ago released for the mobile phone TV tuner three variable capacitance diode RKV650KP, RKV650KN and RKV650KL. Where the size of only 0.6 RKV650KP 0.3mm, known as the industry's smallest. New device samples will be available in Japan from August 2005. Compared with the previous analog TV tuner model of Renesas technology, the installation area of 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.3mm (RKV650KP) is reduced by about 70%, which helps the user's system to be more compact. At the same time, the tradeoff of high frequency series resistance characteristics has been controlled at 0.5 (in VR=1V, f=470MHz conditions), helping to achieve high sensitivity and low noise.

By using a bottom electrode structure, the RKV650KP uses a MP6 (micro package 6, Renesas package code) package, in which the electrode is located at the bottom of the package. RKV650KN uses a 0.8 x 0.5 x 0.3mm (typical) bottom electrode structure MP8 (micro package 8, package code package, Renesas) by RKV650KL EFP (pin type very small flat lead package, package, Renesas code) size is 1 x 0.6 x 0.47mm (typical), the types of different users of the system can choose suitable.
