Resolutely oppose monopolistic behavior! AMD ready to sue Intel

AMD said an official day ago, although the Japanese Committee (Japanese Fair Trade Commission even bargain) unfair competition for Intel has issued a warning, but AMD is still possible to sue Intel.

In March 9th, Japan's Fair Trade Commission had formally warned Intel Japan branch, because Intel is trying to return to the PC manufacturers in the form of a discount to undermine the healthy competition in the microprocessor market. At the same time, the Commission also warned Intel as soon as possible to adjust the business conduct in the Japanese market, and made clear before March 18th. Intel believes that its business in Japan is fair and legal. Before taking further action, the company will assess the warning of the fair trade commission.

For Intel's behavior, AMD executive vice president Thomas McCoy said: Intel's move to try to limit innovation through its market dominance, but more importantly, it limits the consumer's choice. Such behaviour is intolerable."

AMD is responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) government relations director Jens Drew said that in view of Intel's alleged monopoly in Japan, AMD may sue for Intel. Drew also said that AMD just want to compete with competitors in a fair, open market environment.

It is reported that after the Japanese FTC identified Intel alleged monopoly, the EU has launched a survey of Intel.
