SONY 3D LCD TV "BRAVIA" equipped with LED backlight

SONY released the support of three-dimensional (3D) image display LCD TV "BRAVIA" 3 series of 8 models. The LX900 series uses a common edge emitting LED backlight with no local lighting control. HX900 series and LX900 series are used in the liquid crystal panel and the surface of the glass plate between the newly developed resin, and then achieve the integration of the "OptiContrast panel" (Figure 5). By means of the integration, the reflection of the external light and the backlight can be inhibited by the method that the air layer is arranged between the liquid crystal panel and the glass substrate.
