Said Samsung Electronics Company before the company has developed the world's largest TV OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display panel.

According to Samsung Electronics, said the OLED display panel size of 21 inches (53.34 cm), in terms of brightness, thinness and energy saving are better than the current LCD (LCD) display panel.

Samsung Corp also said that the OLED display panel can be used not only for high-definition TV screen, but also can be used as a computer monitor. Moreover, the display panel can also be achieved in the current LCD production line production.

Samsung LCD research center vice president Jun-Hyung Souk said: "this shows that the advent of OLED display panel in the forefront of Samsung Corp have been walking in the market, but also will become the leader of large size OLED TV market."

It is reported that this 21 inches OLED display panel using the active array (Active Matrix) technology, the resolution can reach up to 6 million 220 thousand pixels.

According to Display Search expects this year's global OLED market size will increase from $330 million last year to $830 million this year, while in 2008 is expected to reach $2 billion 200 million.
