Samsung launched the SmartThings home networking platform

Three days ago, Samsung has launched a new Internet of things platform, SmartThings, for the family. The platform uses SmartThings Hub to provide WiFi coverage for families with a maximum of about 140 square meters. If it is a larger family, Connect Home Smart WiFi System 3-Pack can be used. Samsung's home Internet platform serves as the "brain" of the system, allowing consumers to wirelessly connect and control a large number of electronic devices.

The platform allows users to monitor, control, and automatically operate a variety of connection devices in the home. For example, users can set up and turn off the networking lights. Just press the button to switch the light switch, it can be set at the same time of the day, the doors and windows can be opened, or someone says "turn on the kitchen lights." The system is compatible with PHILPS Hue, CREE's networked LED bulb, a ten thousand year color LED bulb and a universal dimmer for Levitron.

Among the many devices on the platform, Samsung has launched SmartThings Outlet. Samsung says it allows consumers to control lights, electronic devices and small appliances anywhere in the home.
