Samsung from the third quarter of 2001 began to OEM notebook DELL, and signed a contract with the latter for a period of 4 years, the total value of up to $500 million. The internal message from the notebook manufacturer in Taiwan of China, mainly for high-end DELL OEM Samsung 12.1 inch Latitude X1 ultra-thin products, but DELL has Latitude X1 improved the right to give the products OEM quanta (Quanta). As a result, Samsung and DELL foundry partnership will end in the second half of 2006.
