Samsung: no split OLED display business

Samsung Display is the world's largest OLED display manufacturers and major apple display suppliers, there are rumors that it is the OLED display business stripped into an independent entity. South Korea Times quoted Samsung Display executives on Monday reported that the company has stripped OLED business sector, some employees have been allocated to the newly established OLED sector. The executives said the move will provide Samsung LCD business exit strategy, because the production of LCD display has been unprofitable. Samsung Display denied the Korea Times reported that it did not peel OLED business, and will continue to develop LCD and OLED products.

Media reports on Monday reiterated previous claims that Samsung has won a significant portion of the iPhone OLED screen orders. The report also said that next year is the 10 anniversary of the advent of iPhone, the design will have great changes, the configuration of the borderless OLED display, TouchID fingerprint sensors, cameras and speakers will be hidden in the screen.
