Seiko EPSON IFA on display LED palm size projector

September 6th news Seiko (Seiko Epson), Epson Corp in Berlin before the Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) on the 2005 demonstrated a prototype mini projector using LED light source.

This heavy 500g, the bottom area of only 13.8cm x 10.3cm size (relative to the size of the A6 paper) products can be easily placed in the palm of the hand.

The company will not last this product to market plan. A spokesman for the company said that the prototype shows the projector can be reduced to what extent the future of 3LCD projectors.

EPSON projector sales department general manager Koichi Kubota said: "the projector using 3LCD technology has the advantage in terms of brightness and pleasing natural image quality."

EPSON April 2004 to fiscal year in the global projector market share of 11.3%. The exhibition is the first time EPSON 3LCD LED light source.

The company said that in addition to pushing the design more closely together, the use of LED light source can shorten the opening and closing reaction time, and can extend the running time.
