Simulation of solar color temperature change intelligent lamp Silk matching human body clock

According to the Tencent digital news, the electric lamp has had a profound influence on the development of human civilization, but its impact on the human body is another matter. More and more scientific evidence suggests that artificial light will destroy the biological clock responsible for the daily rhythms of the human body. Fortunately, light bulb makers are now trying to solve this problem - and, of course, not only the giants of PHILPS and Ge.

Saffron, the LED lamp maker, is the latest company to join the camp. It is reported that Saffron local time began to finance the Silk Light project on the public web site Kickstarter in June 23rd. Silk Light is an application controlled white LED lamp that can adjust its color temperature to avoid the natural sleep / wake-up cycle of the body. According to Saffron, Silk Light can produce exciting cold light during the day, and in the evening it will send out pleasant warm light, close to the 24 hour change cycle of natural light.

Urban lifestyles allow people to enjoy only limited natural light, which disordered the physiological rhythm of the human body, because the body's internal biological clock was accurately adjusted to the 24 hour day / night cycle. Even worse, many of the devices around us are emitting blue light that inhibits melatonin secretion and inhibits sleep. Some researchers, such as Saffron, believe that the answer to this problem is to let the bulb simulate the changes in the color temperature and brightness of the daylight in the day.

Can this task be done with the existing intelligent light bulbs that support color temperature regulation? Maybe, but it's very difficult. Silk Light and its supporting applications are specially developed to solve this problem. The user can follow the default plan and set the brightness and color temperature of different light bulbs (or bulb groups) in a week. Users can even set up Silk Light based on specific activities.

In an e-mail sent to TechHive, Saffron said, "the main thing that makes us different from other bulbs is our nClick technology. Using our unique nClick system, users can change the light bulb by pressing 1 or 2 light switches, and Silk Light does not require users to increase their wiring or install other components.

According to Saffron, users can use the Silk application to specify the specific action of the switch to press the mode (supporting any standard wall switch). For example, a user can specify a two down switch to activate a rest and relaxation mode; similarly, the three lower switch can activate the exercise mode, and at first the lamp sends out exciting, bright cold light, as the exercise approaches the end, to a relaxing light.

Silk Light uses a ZigBee wireless network protocol to communicate with a smartphone via a ZigBee-WiFi bridge. The Silk Light is equivalent to a 60 - watt incandescent lamp with an energy consumption of 12 watts and a luminous flux of 800 lumens. The color temperature range of Silk Light is 2700K-6000K. The reservation price of a suit containing 3 Silk Light bulbs and 1 bridges on Kickstarter is $99 (about 605 yuan). Saffron is planning to finance $100 thousand (about 610 thousand yuan).
