Since the beginning of September the EU banned the import of GU10 PAR30 halogen lamp and halogen floodlight

The EU in September 1, 2016, according to the European Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission) Regulation No. 1194/2012, the ban on some kind of halogen bulb. This regulation sets out environmental protection design regulations for directional lamps and other lighting appliances in the EU market. According to the European Union Law, "directional light" means a luminaire with at least 80% light outputs in the solid angular range of PI Sr (equivalent to a cone with a vertex angle of 120 degrees). Since September 1, 2016, directional lights placed on the EU market must comply with the energy conservation requirements in Annex III, table 2 (also known as the third stage), under regulation 1194/2012. The "third stage" provisions effective September 1, 2016, suitable for directional lamp will be put to the EU market. Reported that, after the implementation of the provisions, GU10 halogen spotlights and PAR30 halogen floodlight is prohibited on the market. However, this shall not apply in September 1, 2016 has been put to the EU market, and this has directional lamp on the shelf or stored in the warehouse of the sales. Reported that the European Union (especially Britain) retailers, despite the current ban, accumulated a large number of directional halogen spotlights. Although these halogen lamp does not meet energy efficiency standards strictly, but in September 1, 2016 has been put to the EU market, perhaps still in store sales. These old halogen lamp by consumers, because the price is cheaper than the LED lamp. Reported that supermarkets and large hardware stores in Britain have accumulated tens of millions of old style halogen lighting, to ensure that customers will still be able to buy in the next few years. According to regulation No. 1194/2012, the ban came into force in September 1, 2016, paving the way for expanding the scope of days after the ban, which prohibits the sale of low energy efficiency "D" halogen lamp. The ban was supposed to take effect in September 1, 2016, but the authorities delayed the effective date by two years to September 1, 2018. The EU is according to the Commission regulation No. 244/2009, the expansion of the scope of the halogen bulb ban. Regulation 244/2009 provides for environmentally friendly design requirements for non directional household light bulbs in the market, including non domestic light bulbs for sale for non domestic use or for other products. "Home light bulbs" are light bulbs for house lighting, but do not include special purpose light bulbs; non directional bulbs are not "directional" in nature. The No. 244/2009 regulation stipulates that non directional household lighting must comply with the provisions of annex II in Table 1 some lighting efficiency. The sixth phase of the "Regulations" (scheduled for effective September 1, 2016) implementation of more stringent regulations lighting efficiency, in other words, the "low level D" halogen bulb originally from September 1, 2016 shall not be put into the EU market. However, in 2015, the Commission on the technical progress review No. 244/2009 regulations, then decided to take the date of implementation of regulation sixth stage postponed for two years, to September 1, 2018.
