Singapore will change 4000 LED lights

Since this month, Singapore's 500 street lights will be gradually replaced by LED lighting fixtures, total replacement of about 4000, is expected to complete the replacement project in the second quarter of 2018. The street lamp replacement projects mainly in the traffic flow in the lower street and some residential street lighting, the number of tiles used in these roads is relatively low (between 70 to 150 watts), the project will replace the original steam high pressure sodium lamp service life is close to life to replace more than 30% energy saving LED lamp.

Prior to the lighting replacement project, the Singapore Communications Department conducted a three year LED lighting test at Northumberland road and Tekka tunnel. A total of 17 streetlights were tested. Singapore land transport bureau is currently actively trying LED lights use high wattage in roads and highways (above 250 watts). Since last August, the land transport bureau has been tested in the Lorong 1 Toa Payoh of high wattage LED lamp energy saving, service life and stability, is expected to be completed this test in 2016.
