South Korea developed a new circuit board can improve the speed of computer transmission

Researchers at the Korea Institute of information and communication, Kwangju Institute of science and technology have developed a new type of printed circuit board with optical fiber and conventional copper wire connections. The researchers said that the existing technology requires tens of seconds to transmit high-definition video signals, using new technology to transfer just one second. The researchers said that the fiber and copper wires embedded in the printed circuit board, all the circuit board connected, which is a technical breakthrough.

The researchers expect the new printed circuit board to be commercially available around 2010.
