TI I2C interface with high efficiency charge pump can drive seven white LED

Days ago, TI (TI) announced the launch of a high frequency charge pump DC/DC converter, which adopts the dual mode conversion function, can achieve the highest conversion efficiency in the input voltage range. This 3 mm x 3 mm micro device using I2C interface, the current can be programmed, very suitable for mobile phones, PDA and multi screen handheld devices and many other applications. The main display TI TPS60250 can drive up to five white LED and two white LED side display, adjustable constant current size, in order to maintain the continuity of strength. The TPS60250 uses an adaptive charge pump mode and a very low dropout current regulator to achieve high conversion efficiency in the input voltage range of a single Li ion battery. I2C provides four enable inputs to simplify the switch control of the independent display. In order to reduce the operating current when using a sub display LED, the device also provides independent operation in the secondary display screen LED. Main features: - 3 V to 6 V input voltage range; - 1x and 1.5x - I2C in support of the charge pump; fully programmable current; o64 dimming step, a maximum of 25 mA (vice principal display group); O4 dimming step, a maximum of 80 mA (DM5 for application) and the light load; current situation, deputy LED difference is not more than 2% (100 A each); 750 kHz charge pump frequency; and the last 230 mA maximum output current; and to achieve maximum efficiency, automatic switching in 1x and 1.5x; built in soft start and current limiting function;. Light detection; 16 pin 3 mm x 3 mm QFN package. The price and availability of TPS60250 has been put into production, can be ordered through TI and its worldwide network of distributors, the device uses 3 mm x 3 mm 16 pin QFN package. Lighting and display solutions TI provides high performance products the most abundant, in order to meet the requirements of the current LED design, TI LED products include power management, power factor correction, such as AC/DC, DC/DC and linear power conversion; RF transceiver DSP and ultra low power MCU. TI products to support a variety of applications, including the ultra small portable display screen and the largest lighting and the display panel, in addition, TI local support and application of professional technology can help designers to accelerate product launch process.
