TI launched constant frequency charge pump DC/DC converter

Days ago, TI (TI) announced the launch of a high frequency charge pump DC/DC converter, which adopts the dual mode conversion function, can achieve the highest conversion efficiency in the input voltage range. The 3 mm X3 mm micro device using I2C interface, the current can be programmed, very suitable for mobile phones, PDA and multi screen handheld devices and many other applications. The main display TI TPS60250 can drive up to five white LED and two white LED side display, adjustable constant current size, in order to maintain the continuity of strength. The TPS60250 uses an adaptive charge pump mode and a very low dropout current regulator to achieve high conversion efficiency in the input voltage range of a single Li ion battery. I2C provides four enable inputs to simplify the switch control of the independent display. In order to reduce the operating current when using a sub display LED, the device also provides independent operation in the secondary display screen LED. The main characteristics of: input voltage range - 3V to 6V; - 1x and 1.5x charge pump; I2C supports fully programmable current; o64 dimming step, the maximum 25mA (vice principal display group); O4 dimming step, the maximum 80mA (DM5 for application); - light load current condition, LED difference is not more than 2% (100 each A); - 750kHz charge pump frequency; - continuous 230mA maximum output current; - to achieve maximum efficiency, automatic switching in 1x and 1.5x mode; - built in soft start and current limiting function; - light detection; - 16 pin 3 mm X3 mm QFN package. Price and availability TPS60250 has been put into production, can be ordered through TI and its worldwide network of distributors, the device uses 3 mm X3 mm 16 pin QFN package.
