TI announced the launch of wireless remote control RGB light-emitting diode (LED) design kit, and further promote the innovation and development in the field of lighting. TPS62260LED and TI's award-winning eZ430-RF2500 development tools complement each other, forming a comprehensive support platform for consumer electronics, commercial, professional and architectural design application of exciting and new color lighting innovation scheme.
TPS62260LED circuit board can control the color and brightness of the bulb, but also run an automatic color brightness change procedures, thus creating a new possibility for low-power lighting design. Designers can use three OSRAM high brightness LED (red, green and blue) to generate different colors. MSP430F2131 ultra low power microcontroller can be used to generate a constant current of three TPS62260LED driver to control the brightness of each LED, a drive to control a LED.
In addition, the design also can be compatible with the TI TPS62240 buck converter and TPS62290 pins, their application fields were low current LED application for the indoor environment and outdoor lighting, for high current LED application project.
Wireless control benefits designers
Designers can directly through the TPS62260LED circuit board connected with the eZ430-RF2500 development tools to achieve wireless communication capabilities, which enables designers to create a RF control of the lighting network. Using RF remote control function, we do not need to add additional infrastructure for the control of lighting. The use of RF lighting control technology will help improve the LED lighting intensity and color change management. RF remote lighting can also benefit from the construction of automation control networks and other applications, because the technology can be as much as possible to reduce the changes in the line infrastructure upgrade the device to LED lighting.

TPS62260LED circuit board is now available, including the assembly of pre programmed MSP430 microcontroller and supporting documentation. In addition, eZ430-RF2500 development tools also accept reservations, if the designer wants to re programming MSP430, you can subscribe to an independent MSP430 flash simulation tools, such as MSP-FET430UIF development tools. TPS62260LED-338 circuit board and MSP430 flash simulation tools can now be ordered through the dealer.
