Taitung grand tech Blu ray LED is expected to replace OLED

Huang Junyuan, an associate professor of Applied Science at the University of Taitung, worked with the Far East University of science and technology to break through the bottleneck of technology and produce electroluminescent blue light-emitting diodes with colloidal quantum dots, CDs and zns.

The University of Taitung said it was responsible for the synthesis of quantum dots from the Department of materials research in the Far East, and Huang Junyuan specializes in component structures and process improvements. Huang Junyuan said that in the past, the red light and green light research in LED have made considerable achievements, such as traffic lights, large electronic billboards or street lamps, but in blue light has always been difficult to break through. This time, they are using organic inorganic materials, hoping to replace the existing curved OLED and show results on mobile phones, tablets or television screens.

Huang Junyuan stressed that light-emitting diodes are now the mainstream lighting technology, organic light-emitting diode displays gradually replace existing LCD monitors. The advantages of inorganic materials are high reliability of materials.
