Taiwan plans to cooperate with the mainland on the standardization of LED products

According to the Taipei times (Taipei Times) published an article said, in the face of fierce competition in Japan, South Korea, Germany and the United States, Taiwan, LED planning and product standardization issues of cooperation, to enter the global market.

Taiwan Premier Liu Zhaoxuan said that the Taiwan government will launch a session with the mainland counterparts, for LED product standardization and certification system to reach an agreement in June, this is the government of Taiwan bridge construction plan (Bridge-Building Plan) "part of the purpose is to build a platform for cross-strait industrial cooperation.

When Liu Zhaoxuan visited EPISTAR (Epistar, Taiwan high brightness LED chips for large suppliers) pointed out that in the LED lighting industry, this cooperation will enable Taiwan and Chinese into a global LED production center".

The general manager of Chou company EPISTAR Ming-chun believes that the Taiwan government should cooperate with China to promote the development of LED industry. He said that in recent years, South Korea and China in the lighting industry technology breakthroughs on the LED industry in Taiwan also pose a threat. Cooperation with the Chinese side will help the local industry to open up the Chinese market.

Taiwan plans to invest in green energy technology

According to a recent English China post (The China Post) published an article said that the Taiwan government plans to NT $20 billion for green energy technology research and development fund, expected to be allocated $200 billion for private investment in the industry.

The investment plan will focus on the development of the industry, focusing on solar energy, LED lighting, wind power, biomass fuels, hydrogen, fuel cells, electric vehicles, energy information and communications technology.

The government of Taiwan will help achieve several major goals, including the transformation of Taiwan into the world's largest supplier of LED modules. In addition to a variety of different measures, the Minister of economic affairs Yiin Chii-ming said that nearly 700000 traffic lights in Taiwan, is expected by 2011, will be replaced as an energy-saving LED lighting.
