Munoz has launched an Indiegogo campaign looking for $20 thousand to raise money for the mass production of this lighting module.

The magic of SULI is that it can use an absolute number of times, a large part of it due to 3D printing. The company has designed and printed several of these lights, but also wants people from the open source community to share the excitement of designing and printing new modules and achieve more incredible applications.

SULI is very efficient, using three batteries, power 25 lumens, high brightness LED, one charge can last 50 hours. The average charge time is between 6-12 hours, depending on the total amount of available sunlight. That means charging every day and lighting it at night.

The team behind SULI didn't just want to make a profit on the invention. They were trying to find ways to change the lives of people in third world countries, starting in Bhutan and Haiti. In Bhutan, about 3500 people live in no water or lighting environment, including more than 800 students in 5 schools. SULI has been with Chile charity America Solidaria cooperation, the charity will be built 4 wells in the city, SULI will provide these wells lighting, if their project capital adequacy, they will at least give Bhutan schools provide solar lighting solutions. The higher goal is to provide home lighting for everyone in the city.
