The 14 subway stations in Guangzhou are equipped with 7527 sets of LED lights for 2 million 450 thousand years.

Nanfang Daily News, July 15th, Guangzhou Metro bulletin said that nearly 2 years of the original metro line two Sanyuanli to Pazhou section (excluding Xiaogang, Chigang Station) LED energy-saving lighting demonstration project has been completed recently, 14 subway stations in the public area of the general lighting system has changed the total of 7527 sets of LED lights, the station's overall lighting uniformity. It increased by nearly 10% before the transformation, and the electricity consumption reached 2 million 450 thousand degrees in one year. Guangzhou Metro said that taking into account the LED and other better energy saving and environmental protection effects, since the first phase of line six, all the new lines, the public lighting of the public areas are designed to use LED lights. While the old lines, some stations and line four trains on line 1 are currently undergoing the transformation of LED lights. One after another.

LED lights are more energy efficient and longer life.

In the early old lines of Guangzhou metro, the ordinary lighting in the public area of the station mainly uses ordinary fluorescent lamps. With the development of semiconductor lighting in the world in recent years, LED lamps came into being. According to experts, under the same brightness, LED lamps consume only 1/2 of ordinary fluorescent lamps, while life expectancy can be extended by 5 times. More importantly, the LED light source itself does not contain harmful substances such as mercury and lead. The infrared and ultraviolet hazards of LED lamps are much less than that of traditional fluorescent lamps. There is no infrared and ultraviolet pollution. They will not pollute the outside world in production and use.

In 2010, it was recommended by the Guangzhou municipal government and the national semiconductor industry technology alliance. The Guangzhou Metro Corporation undertook the cross strait semiconductor lighting cooperation project in the cross-strait economic and trade cooperation of the Taiwan Affairs Office, the Guangzhou subway demonstration project, taking into account that the original lamps on the line two had reached the deadline for replacement, and 14 on the original line two. The LED energy saving lighting demonstration project is implemented in the public area of the subway station, which is a pilot project for the large-scale installation and use of LED lamps in the future.

Electricity in the year is about 2 million 450 thousand degrees.

The Guangzhou Metro said that the implementation time of the project was very intense, and it could only be arranged in the subway suspension period every day. After the necessary operation time was deducted, the actual construction time was up to 3.5 hours a day, and even some special operation arrangements were made. The effective time was also greatly reduced. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the whole project, the MTRC's organization design, contractors, operators and suppliers carefully explored each station, and evaluated the lighting plan by lighting design simulation, and refined the existing national standard requirements, and set up a product consistency tracking mechanism for the whole project, which lasted for nearly two years. It was completed in March 2015 and accepted by the unit project in July 15, 2015.

After nearly two years of renovation, the overall performance of the reconstruction project has reached and exceeded the expected level. According to the subway company, 8790 sets of fluorescent lamps were dismantled, 7527 sets of LED lamps were installed, and the total number of lamps and lanterns was reduced by 14.4%. After the project has been put into use, the power saving rate of the project luminaire reaches 48.8%, and the electricity consumption is about 2 million 450 thousand degrees per year. The energy saving effect is remarkable through the third party measurement. Moreover, after the implementation of the project, the overall lighting uniformity of stations and stations increased by nearly 10%. In the Guangzhou Metro 2014 passenger satisfaction survey, the satisfaction of the "ticket hall, passageway and platform brightness" reached 9.10 points, indicating that the passengers were satisfied with the subway station lighting.

LED lighting is adopted in the general lighting of new line public area.

Reporters learned that in the context of the current global energy shortage, energy conservation is an important issue for us to face in the future. The subway as a city public transport, lighting as an important power consumption accounts for about 8-10% of the total electricity consumption. Adopting LED and other green lighting technologies will greatly reduce the energy consumption of lighting and reduce the cost of equipment maintenance, thus effectively reducing operation costs.

Guangzhou Metro said that the implementation of this project has achieved good results, and greatly promoted the application of LED industry in urban rail transit and even other important engineering fields. For this reason, all the new lines starting from line six of the first phase, LED lights are used in the general lighting of the public areas of the stations, while some of the stations and line four trains on line 1 are currently being retrofit with LED lights.
