Recently, the executive meeting of the city and city government of Zhuzhou has made it clear that Zhuzhou city will save energy for the city's 30 thousand street lamps in 6 months.

LED street lamps can save electricity from 40% to 50%

There are 40050 street lamps in Zhuzhou City, including 30551 high pressure sodium lamps, 5726 LED street lamps, 3773 ordinary energy saving lamps and other light source street lamps. According to the reform plan, the 30 thousand high pressure sodium lamps in the main and secondary main road, the square, the bridge and the small street alleys will be replaced by the LED street lamps.

The energy consumption of LED street lamp is low, the rate of electricity saving is 40% to 50% higher than that of high pressure sodium lamp; the service life is 10 years, it is 5 times of the high pressure sodium lamp; the power factor is between 0.96 and 0.99, with almost no loss.

After the 30 thousand high pressure sodium lamps are reformed to save energy, it is expected to save 25 million 470 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity per year. The conversion into standard coal can be reduced by 10189 tons, 25396 tons of carbon emissions, 764 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions and 382 tons of nitrogen oxide emission reduced.

Project introduction of a new model of EMC financing

According to the preliminary estimate, the total expenditure of energy saving renovation project of street lamp is about 156 million yuan. To this end, Zhuzhou has introduced a new investment and financing model - contract energy management model (EMC), that is, energy conservation services companies invest in energy conservation reform first, and then pay their investment in proportion to the year in terms of energy efficiency. The model has the advantages of "zero investment and zero risk".

After the energy saving transformation, the annual energy consumption of urban street lamps will fall from 44 million 400 thousand kwh to 18 million 930 thousand kwh. Compared with all the previous road lights, the electricity cost can be saved by 23 million 80 thousand yuan a year. Compared with the current energy saving operation mode, the electricity cost can still be saved by more than 17 million yuan per year. In the EMC mode, the savings of electricity can pay the cost of investment in the project.
