The EU draft will ban tungsten halogen lamps, but in this field or there are exceptions.

Last month, the EU draft proposed a ban on the use of tungsten halogen lamps and compact fluorescent lamps as light sources in 2020. The minimum efficiency of all light sources is 85 lumens / watts, and the maximum standby power supply is 0.5 watts.

The law is opposed by theaters and live sites, because these places rely on the main source of light, such as HPL single - ended tungsten filament lamps. According to the previous law, there is immunity in this field.

If the draft is passed, it will bring about 1 billion pounds (about 8 billion 550 million yuan) for the British theater.

To this end, the London Theatre Association and the UK Theatre issued a joint statement declaring that "the draft new EU ecological design regulations will seriously affect the existing stage lighting equipment."

"In this way, these changes will greatly affect the way the performance is illuminated, and it will seriously affect the performing arts institutions and other places, some of which may be forced to close."

The association of lighting designers has launched a campaign called Save Stage Lighting to save the stage lighting to resist the proposal.

A few days ago, the Save Stage Lighting (save the stage lighting) movement met with the European Commission and submitted an application to the European Commission for the immunity of entertainment lighting, and the theatre was expected to be exempt.
