The EU will be LED lighting products such as 2 years of joint market regulation

Hongkong TDC news, the European product safety enforcement Forum (PROSAFE) has been in operation since July 2015, and will launch 2 years of consumer goods market regulatory action. Joint market regulation actions to 5 types of illegal products, including light emitting diode (LED) and fluorescent lamps and other lighting products, sound toys, fireworks, power tools and safety fence.

The European product safety enforcement forum is a non - profit - making professional organization designed for the market regulator and personnel of the member states of the European Union and other European economies. Forum aims to improve the safety of European products and services users. The joint market monitoring action is coordinated by the forum and funded by the European commission.

There are 3 purposes of joint market regulation:

(I) to identify and eliminate unsafe products from the European market to ensure consumer safety;

(II) creating a fair competitive environment for enterprises";

(III) supporting and facilitating the free flow of goods in the European market.

The overall goal of the joint market regulation action is to co-ordinate the market regulatory actions for specific products in the most effective manner. The joint market regulation action can be divided into 3 areas, including the development of regulatory methods, project co-ordination and product specific regulatory actions.

The agencies involved in the joint market regulation are from the EU and the member states of the European Economic Zone, but not Hungary, Ireland, Spain and liechtenstein.

The goal of a specific product regulatory action is to enhance the safety of a particular product or product category, LED, fluorescent lamps and other lighting products include:

LED and fluorescent lamps and other lighting products have better energy efficiency, in recent years increasingly popular. However, there are some poor, illegal and dangerous LED and fluorescent products have been imported into the EU market. According to a recent joint market monitoring action shows that in 123 kinds of LED lighting products, there are 86% inconsistent. Among the more well-known LED and fluorescent lamp products, there was an accident and caused a fire.

The government has issued more than 90 alerts on LED and fluorescent lighting products through the non food hazardous products rapid alert system (RAPEX). RAPEX allows the 31 participating countries (including members of the European Union and the European economic area of China) and the European Commission to exchange information, this information relates to pose risks to consumer health and safety products, as well as the measures taken to eliminate the risk. Joint market regulatory action is expected, there will be 40 kinds of LED and fluorescent lamps and other lighting products to be tested.

The joint market regulatory action will be carried out for two years, is expected to end in July 15, 2017.
