The Suzhou river street lamps "resign to the new" and change the LED lights for nearly a thousand

Recently, careful citizens will find that the light yellow road lights are all white, brighter and clearer when they pass the Suzhou River Road at night. I learned yesterday from the municipal street light management office of the district city administration that after the river road and Sports Road, the Suzhou River Road nearly 1000 street lamps are all changed into LED lights.

It is reported that the traditional street lamps in the city are high pressure sodium lamp, the yellow light of the sodium lamp is not only dark, and the electricity consumption is very high, but the LED street lamp has the characteristics of environmental pollution free, low power consumption, high light efficiency and long life, and it is called "green lighting". The new "boarding" LED street lamp of the Suzhou River Road has 241 lights. There are 4 lamps on each pole, with a total of 964 lamps. It is expected to save about 30% of the electricity consumption per year than the original high pressure sodium lamp.
