The advantages of LEDinside: Micro LED in small spacing display products

At present the LED display (LED billboards, LED Display) is mainly divided into indoor and outdoor screen screen and screen the main buyers are semi household, commercial space for public space operators, advertising films, advertising posters carousel. In the past, the field of products to low order LED products, LED spacing between relatively large, with the size of the plane within the resolution is relatively low, the use of LED is also relatively small. But thanks to the LED chip and package technology, can reduce the present surface with LED spacing, small pitch LED display with higher resolution, as long as the audience have compared with the watch, can feel quite obvious is qualitative progress, there are more and more high order single buyer market.

Small pitch LED display compared to other display technology, self luminous, high brightness, excellent color, easy to maintain and update frequency fast, with the characteristics of seamless splicing, in existence of plasticity, on a large screen display field, there is no other technology can match. The main application areas include war room and meeting room, control center, arcade and the counter roadside booth.

Currently small spacing P1.6 and P1.2 projects up to the maximum demand is 1010LED specifications and 0808LED specifications. Benefit from market demand, 2015-2016 manufacturers to actively carry out small spacing display. LEDinside forecast 2015-2020 small screen display mainstream trends from 2015 Pitch2.5mm to Pitch0.8mm in 2020.

The advantages of Micro LED in small screen display products

As the dot spacing is small, the cost of the traditional LED packaging module will rise sharply. Micro-LED technology does not need to support the stent and metal wire, can reduce the cost of traditional SMD-LED packaging.

Micro-LED products require high wave length uniformity, small spacing with LED product wavelength uniformity is demanding. Under the current production standards, the wavelength uniformity of blue LED is required to be in the range of + 5~12nm, while the wavelength uniformity of the small spacing display is required to be 1-1.5nm. High volume, high precision transfer process to improve production rate, at least 99.9%.

At the same time, PCB must also be customized to thin wire width / line spacing and small drilling development, ultra-high density lines carrying a large amount of Micro-LED elements, access to high quality display.

Compared with the bracelet and watch, Driver IC screen is also used to be highly customized, high integration driving and line scanning circuit simplified PCB backplane design, improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency, because of high density row driver IC caused the lack of space placed dilemma, plus driving circuit modular design, saving design and manufacturing cost.
