The government of India to promote the LED project of Punjab under martial law

In recent years, India's prime minister Modi proposed the national LED project, spare no effort in the promotion of LED. India Federal Ministry of power has repeatedly issued a notice, said "in the community of all government buildings and the national lighting project funded by the government, must be installed based on LED lighting". In order to achieve the goal of the government, Punjab India Department of education to public schools issued a notice, said in the school can only install LED lamps / bulbs. The notice said, "according to the central government of India command, the Punjab government also decided from now on, will focus on energy saving measures".

The notice also added: "from now on, as long as the tubes / bulbs problems or can not be used, in the community of all government buildings and the national lighting project funded by the government, must be installed based on LED lighting. In addition, if there are any new government buildings should be built, only LED lighting."

Punjab school education director Paramjit Singh told the media that this notice is mandatory for all public schools. "The central government attaches great importance to India. The school building is one of the major power consumers, so from now on we were told to install the LED lamp. The government will pay all expenses for public schools, therefore must comply with the notice of LED lighting."

However, the government said on taking public school spending power is questionable, because most schools, especially primary school in Punjab, and even to rely on donations to pay monthly bills.
