The mobile phone with LED multi display technology drives the total output current up to 1A

The day before, Corporation (Linear Technology) to launch a fully integrated 850kHz, low noise, high efficiency 1x/1.5x/2x charge pump multi screen LED driver LTC3208. The LTC3208 has an input voltage range of 2.9V to 4.5V and is optimized for single-cell lithium ion applications. When the lithium ion battery (nominal value of 3.6V) drive, the efficiency of 95%, while the quiescent current is only 250 A, thus maximizing the battery working hours. LTC3208 requires only 4 small capacitors and a resistor, it can be composed of a small area of the board area of low (<34mm2, high 0.75mm) solution, can be used for all 5 independent LED display power supply.

The LTC3208 charge pump optimizes the efficiency according to the VIN and LED forward voltage. When the device is powered on, it enters the 1x mode, and automatically switches to the boost mode (1.5x) when any of the current LED current sources are in a bad position. Pressure difference and then switch to 2x mode. The maximum current of the main / auxiliary /RGB/ camera / auxiliary display is set with a single resistor. The LED current is controlled by an accurate internal current source, and all of the dimming and switching on / off control of the display are carried out through the two wire I2C serial interface. The main and secondary display has 256 brightness levels, RGB display has 4096 color combinations. Internal circuitry prevents inrush current and excessive input noise during start-up and mode switching.
