The new version of the LED engine interface specification 11

Recently, the ZHAGA Alliance announced the Zhaga interface specification specification 11, which defines the use of a separate LED driver (electronic control device), including non socket circular LED module LED light engine (LLE) interface.

Zhaga is a new generation of LED light engine interface specification, initiated by the global lighting co sponsored by the Zhaga alliance, to promote the standardization of LED interface, help to promote the popularity of LED lighting products. ZHAGA products include: mechanical interface interface 1 = physical size; 2 electrical interface = the electrical parameters of the rated value; 3 = heat radiation interface specification; optical parameters of the 4 optical interface = lamp output; 5 control interface = switch or dimming function, light of different manufacturers can use the same country, or vice versa can. LED light exchange can largely reduce the cost of the enterprise.

ZHAGA does not specify the performance, quality, design or safety requirements of the LED light source. Because these characteristics are each LED light source manufacturers for product design, mainly depends on the specific technical choice and product market positioning, these products can be exchanged between the no relationship.

Zhaga international alliance is committed to the development of interface specifications (also known as the "specification"). Each specification defines the mechanical, thermal, electrical, optical, and control interfaces between the LED light engine and the luminaire. Zhaga defines the LED light engine as a combination of one or more LED modules and the LED drive (electronic control unit). On the ZHAGA product specification architecture, there are 11 kinds of interface specifications, respectively:

The Zhaga interface specification 1 is unique in that it does not define the interface between the LED light source and the LED lamp.

The information contained in specification 1 is frequently cited by all other Zhaga specifications.

Zhaga interface specification 2

The interface of the socket type circular LED light engine (LLE) using an integrated LED driver (electronic control unit) is defined.

The LED light engine is a round drum shape, the maximum diameter of 70.2mm, high 45mm. It uses a typical 59mm diameter circular smooth surface and PHJ65d base.

Specification 2 is similar to specification 8, the difference is that the diameter of the LED light engine described in Figure 2 is smaller.

LED light engine specifications 2 mainly (but not exclusively) used for LED lamp.

Zhaga interface specification 3

The interface of the LED light engine (LLE), which uses a separate LED driver (electronic control unit), including a non socket circular LED module is defined.

According to the diameter size of different circular smooth surface, 4 kinds of LED light engine are defined in specification 3:

There are a total of 4 types of LED light engine categories in specification 3, which are defined by the diameter of the circular smooth surface (LES): 9mm, 13.5mm, 19mm, 23mm.

The LED light engine in spec 3 applies to LED, as well as other applications that require a small circular light source.

Zhaga interface specification 4

The interface of a high intensity LED light engine (LLE), which uses a separate LED driver (electronic control unit), which includes a non socket rectangular LED module is defined.

According to the different dimensions of the rectangular out surface, 3 LED light engines are defined in specification 4: 30mm x 7.5mm, 42mm x 10.5mm, 60mm x 15.0mm.

LED light engine specifications in 4 apply to the application of high light source, such as street lighting and industrial high ceiling lighting applications.

Zhaga interface specification 5

The interface of the LED light engine (LLE), which includes a separate LED driver (electronic control unit), including a socket type circular LED module is defined.

The maximum diameter of the circular LED module in specification 5 is 70mm, height is 21mm. Specification 5 allows the use of optical components with a maximum width of 180mm and a maximum height of 180mm.

The typical out of plane (LES) diameter of the LED module in specification 5 is 13.5mm to 26mm.

Zhaga interface specification 6

The interface of the socket type circular LED light engine (LLE) using an integrated LED driver (electronic control unit) is defined.

The nominal size of the LED light engine is 90mm diameter and 42mm height, also has a GH76p base.

The socket type LED light engine in spec 6 can be inserted into a slot with a diameter not exceeding the diameter of the LED light engine itself. This will enable the design of compact lamps.

Zhaga interface specification 7

The interface of the LED light engine (LLE), which uses a separate LED driver (electronic control unit), which contains one or more non socket rectangular LED modules, is defined.

In specification 7, according to the different LED module size, the definition of the 7 LED light engine: L6W6 - long 60mm x wide 60mm, L28W2, L28W4, L28W6, L28W28, L56W2, L56W4.

The LED light engine in specification 7 is mainly used for indoor lighting applications.

The interface of the socket type circular LED light engine (LLE) using an integrated LED driver (electronic control unit) is defined.
