The "two step" timetable in Jiangsu decided to eliminate all incandescent lamps before 2020

The six departments of Jiangsu Province, such as credit, transformation, science and technology, science and technology, finance, housing construction and quality supervision, issued the opinion on accelerating the development of the LED lighting industry yesterday, and set up a "timetable" for "two steps" - by 2015, the market share of ordinary lighting used for incandescent lamps to less than 10%, and more than 60 watts in the province. Incandescent lamps are basically eliminated; by 2020, all the incandescent lamps in the province are eliminated, and the market share of LED lighting products is further improved.

LED lighting has the advantages of low power consumption, long life, rich color and strong controllability. The products of LED tube lamp and bulb lamp are about 70% energy saving than incandescent lamps. It is an energy saving and environmental protection industry which is encouraged by the state. Jiangsu is one of the fastest developing areas in the LED lighting industry, which accounts for 12% of the country's output value. The development of LED lighting not only meets the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection, but also promotes the development of new industries.

With the application of LED lighting, our province will be the first to popularize the lighting projects in public institutions, finance or state-owned capital investment and construction. The new lighting project will adopt LED products. The original non LED products should be completed by installment and batch transformation before the end of 2016. At the same time, a number of demonstration projects have been carried out in the fields of commercial, industrial, outdoor, medical, agricultural, landscape lighting and so on. All localities should implement the government procurement policy of energy saving products, and government organs and public institutions take the lead in the use of LED lighting products. LED lighting will be an important part of the project energy saving evaluation and review in the fixed assets investment projects of financial or state-owned capital investment.

In accordance with the clear goal of the "opinion", the output value of the LED lighting industry in 2020 is expected to exceed hundreds of billions of levels, equivalent to quadrupling on the existing basis.
