Tyco Electronics for solid state lighting industry launched a new G13 type lamp socket connector

Recently, Tyco Electronics announced solid state lighting (SSL) industry, the introduction of a new RoHS specification in accordance with the G13 type SMT package and the end cover of the lamp holder connector. The product is suitable for standard T8 and T12 fluorescent LED replace the printed circuit board (PCBs) and LED strip lighting module.

In order to realize the mass production of the integrated package of fluorescent LED alternative lamp tube, the connector realizes the fast SMT electrical connection to the PCB, and provides the standard pin interface for the fixed lamp socket. The product is easy to install high-speed tape packaging, with FR4 and aluminum based PCBs compatible.

The new product has a surface mount track that provides additional stability when the connector is inserted or pulled out of the LED tube. SMT shell material using UL94 V-0 flame retardant grade thermoplastic, in order to meet the automatic reflow process. The connector of the end cover of the connector and the SMT connector, the radiating fin and the lamp tube are separately packaged to facilitate assembly.

Performance index: rated current 2A, AC and DC rated voltage 250V, insulation dielectric strength 1500VAC, each G13 specification pin midline distance is 0.5inch. Normal operating temperature of -40 to 120 degrees celsius. This product complies with UL8750 and UL1993 standards.
