U.S. LUMEX launched up to 100cd high-intensity, narrow beam SMT LED

Before the United States law of beauty (Lumex) launched the QuasarBrite SMT LED provides a narrow beam, high intensity of red, green and blue dense beam. Compared to the traditional SMT LED, QuasarBrite narrow beam SMT LED can reduce the beam angle of 93%, suitable for intensive light, high-intensity light medical equipment, security equipment, sensors and other lighting fields.

Lumex engineering director Jeff Oliveros said that although the traditional SMT LED has many advantages, but without the use of external light conditions, the LED is not able to provide a narrow beam. The traditional SMT LED provides beam range between 45~85 degrees. However, the QuasarBrite narrow beam SMT LED provides a beam range between 6~10 degrees, reducing the beam angle by up to 93%.

QuasarBrite SMT LED narrow beam can be inverted installed directly into the built-in parabolic reflector, without external light conditions, can produce high strength light in a narrow beam. Therefore, compared with the traditional SMT LED, which uses the external light source to obtain dense beams, the QuasarBrite narrow beam SMT LED can save 50% of the cost and the substrate of 50%.

Built-in parabolic reflector can be calibrated into astigmatism beam of light, so that the standard of energy consumption is 75mW or less common LED emit high intensity light. Typical SMT at 45 degrees of view may produce 1CD brightness; while QuasarBrite narrow beam SMT LED from a 6 degree angle can produce up to 100cd light intensity.

Passed RoHs environmental protection certification QuasarBrite SMT LED narrow beam including 4 mm (the beam angle of 12~22 degrees), 6 mm (with beam angle of 14~24 degrees) and 8 mm (with beam angle of 14~18 degrees) with different sizes.
