In December 8th, according to foreign media reports, if you think your neighbor's holiday light show too bright luxury, so wait until you see in Abu Dhabi recently completed the world's largest LED project, you might change your view. Karl Hotel (Yas HotEL) by New York architects asymptote (asymptote Architecture) design, and lighting is by Oaxaca Nano Engineering Consultants Ltd. (ARUP) design, the hotel sparkling shell consists of more than 5 thousand and 300 diamond shaped panels covered with a more than 5 thousand LED device spliced. The color of the light can be changed by a streamline light field, and even can be used to display the three-dimensional video with low definition.

From time to time to work out a project, luxurious appearance will surprise us. The recently completed Karl hotel consists of two 12 story building, the top with a huge neon cover, cross a Formula One racing track. There are 500 rooms in the building, which covers an area of 85 thousand square meters. However, we can't imagine how we can have a good night's sleep under the influence of the flashing lights and the roaring cars.

While we welcome the Yas Hotel used LED and its groundbreaking design, but this approach is not worthy of praise. Although LED is our favorite kind of energy saving lamp, it is not wise to cover the whole building with them, because it will only turn it into a monument of transitional waste.
