UAE will introduce indoor lighting environmental standards

In February 17th, the UAE National Quality Standards Bureau (ESMA) and its important strategic partner of the United Arab Emirates "ecological footprint plan" jointly announced that it will launch a new standard of indoor lighting, advocate residents and enterprises to adopt energy-saving lighting equipment.

It is reported that after the implementation of the new standard, the Arab market will introduce a safe, reliable, energy-efficient lighting products. With immediate effect, the United Arab Emirates national quality standards board will begin a half year standard implementation phase, will be related to the interests of enterprises, manufacturers, retailers and other departments to coordinate.

This effectively reduces carbon emissions, reduce energy waste, and promote the UAE's ecological footprint plan to complete the goal, the United Arab Emirates energy consumption continues to move towards economic and environmental protection. By then, the country's electricity consumption will be reduced by 340-500 megawatts of electricity per year, which is equivalent to the effect of natural gas power station six months.
