United States Soraa proposed GaN substrate LED manufacturing plant

According to reports, the United States Soraa company plans to open a semiconductor manufacturing factory in New York Syracuse. The company will work with New York to work together to build an advanced gallium nitride substrate (GaN on GaN) LED manufacturing plant. It is reported that the new plant will employ hundreds of workers.

In collaboration with the State University of New York Institute of nanoscience and engineering, the plant is expected to be completed by the end of this year, is expected to begin production in the second half of 2016. Currently, Soraa has operated a LED manufacturing plant in Fremont, California.
