Vishay launches a new high strength SMD based on sapphire LED

In order to meet the requirements of LED, these devices provide efficient InGaN technology at very low prices. Provides low-cost lighting of the VLMW41xx series of SMD LED devices for numerous applications, including car dashboard backlight and switch; indicator lamp and backlight telecommunications systems, audio and video equipment and office equipment; LCD, switch and general signs of planar backlight. These devices have a 60 degree half intensity angle, 112mcd to 355mcd extremely high light intensity, as well as typical color temperature of 5500K. These LED have a ESD withstand voltage value of up to 2kV, consistent with the JESD22-A114-B specification. These new series devices are made of EIA and ICE standard PLCC-2 packages that are embedded in a lead frame in a white thermoplastic. The reflective layer in the package is filled with a mixture of epoxy resin and TAG phosphor. TAG phosphor can be converted into a blue light emitting part of the yellow light, and yellow light and other blue light mixed together will produce a white light. According to the JEDEC LevEL 2A standard pretreatment of PLCC-2 package lead free (Pb), and in line with RoHS. The CECC compatibility with infrared, gas and wave soldering processes as well as automatic mounting equipment and IR reflow soldering simplifies handling and assembly operations. These VLMW41xx devices are verified according to AEC Q101. At present, the use of 8 mm tape packaging VLMW41xx high strength SMD LED samples and production volume can be provided, bulk orders supply cycle for 5 weeks.
