Vishay new series of ultra bright white SMD LED using efficient InGaN Technology

Vishay recently announced the launch of a new series of super bright white SMD LED, these devices with high performance InGaN technology, can achieve excellent brightness in the occupied area on the 0603.

With the size of 1.6mm x x 0.6mm, the new VLMW1100 series of white LED can be achieved with higher performance, higher design flexibility and enhanced application of smaller size products 0.8mm.

Provides low-cost lighting of the VLMW1100 series of LED for numerous applications, including car dashboard, backlight switch and keyboard; indicator lamp and backlight telecommunications systems, audio and video equipment, office equipment and outdoor message board; LCD, switch and general sign plane backlight.

These devices have a 80 degree half intensity angle, 140mcd to 280mcd extremely high light intensity, as well as typical color temperature of 5500K. These LED have a ESD withstand voltage value of up to 1kV, consistent with the JESD22-A114-B specification.

VLMW1100 series EIA and ICE standard 0603 SMD package based on lead frame, can achieve high reliability in harsh environments. The package is made of epoxy resin and is equipped with a yellow light converter. The yellow light converter can convert the blue light emitted into yellow light, and yellow light and other blue light mixed together will produce a white light.

According to the JEDEC LevEL 2A standard pretreatment of 0603 SMD package lead (Pb), and in line with RoHS. The CECC compatibility with infrared, gas and wave soldering processes simplifies the process and automatic assembly operation.

At present, the use of 8 mm tape packaging VLMW1100 ultra bright SMD LED samples and production volume can be provided, bulk orders supply cycle for 5 weeks.
