Where do you see it? General purpose R & D "eyeball" headlights.

According to General Motors Group, Opel, its European subsidiary, is developing a new technology, human eye follower headlamp lighting technology. It uses the infrared scanner inside the vehicle to monitor the direction of the driver's eye in real time and transform the corresponding electrical signal to control the angle of the headlamp. In this way, the lighting effect of "seeing is shining" is achieved.

According to the general engineer, the monitoring sensor of the system is a set of infrared and photodiodes, which can scan the driver's eyeballs repeatedly according to the frequency of 50 times per second. At the same time, the lamp will adjust the horizontal and vertical position immediately to ensure that the driver can see anywhere.

Volvo fatigue monitoring system

In fact, the new technology of general purpose is derived from the fatigue monitoring system. The system will analyze the direction of the lamp's illumination according to your speed, location and traffic condition, and the eye tracking technology will identify the direction of the eye movement of the driver, and then adjust the light according to this direction. However, GM did not give the exact mass production time of the technology, which only indicated that they had launched a real vehicle test on Opel.

In addition, Opel engineers are planning to launch a new matrix LED headlamp in the near future.
