LED street light can save 40% to 50%

There are 40050 street lamps in Zhuzhou City, of which 30551 are high pressure sodium lamp, 5726 LED street lamp, 3773 ordinary energy-saving lamp and other light source street lamp. According to the plan, 30 thousand high pressure sodium lamps will be replaced with LED street lights in main roads, squares, bridges and side streets.

LED street lamp has low energy consumption, electricity saving rate is 40% to 50% higher than that of high pressure sodium lamp, and the service life is 10 years. It is 5 times of high pressure sodium lamp. The power factor is between 0.96 and 0.99, and there is almost no loss.

The implementation of energy-saving 30 thousand high-pressure sodium lamp, the estimated annual electricity savings of 25 million 470 thousand kwh, converted into standard coal can save 10189 tons, reducing carbon emissions by 25396 tons, reducing sulfur dioxide emissions 764 tons, reducing emissions of 382 tons of nitrogen oxides.

Introduction of new financing mode of EMC project

After preliminary estimates, the total cost of the street lighting energy-saving renovation project is about 156 million yuan. To this end, Zhuzhou city introduced a new financing model of energy management contract (EMC), which is the energy service company to invest in energy saving transformation, and then from the energy efficiency in proportion, the annual repayment of its investment. The model has the advantages of "zero investment and zero risk".

After the energy saving transformation, the annual electricity consumption of urban street lights will be reduced from 44 million 400 thousand kwh to 18 million 930 thousand kwh. Compared with all the lights before opening, the annual savings of electricity 23 million 80 thousand yuan; compared with the current energy-saving operation mode, the annual electricity savings can be more than 17 million yuan. In EMC mode, the savings of electricity costs can be paid for the renovation project investment.
