Market research company Semico Research published the report pointed out that the silicon foundry still faces a delicate but destructive price war in some of the products and manufacturing processes. The latest research report pointed out that Semico, silicon wafer prices experienced a decline in another quarter, foundry wafer prices fell 6.4% in the second quarter of 2005. Semico said the wafer foundry wafer price will be steady, but is expected in the third quarter and the fourth quarter decreased by 3% and 2.3% respectively.

Semico to predict this trend reflects the improvement in the overall situation in the second half of the semiconductor industry to a certain extent. Semico continues to forecast that global semiconductor sales will grow by 2% to $217 billion 300 million in 2005.
