12 watts =100 watts: British students to develop the most efficient LED lights

Although the general LED lamp has the characteristics of energy saving, long life, but its brightness brightness is far less than 100 watt incandescent lamp radiates, and with the increase of the brightness of LED lights, heating Zheshou problem will appear. However, recently, University of Toronto's three alumni together, to provide people with a can improve the brightness of the LED lamp, but also the effective control of the LED lamp calorific value of the feasibility of the solution.

This scheme is a specially designed lamp, named NanoLight, other similar to the classic 100W lighting, the surface is covered with a layer of conductive circuit board, and evenly distributed in a certain number of LED lights, which can provide a wide range of lighting and brightness increase.

Although before the company has successfully developed LED lamp as 60 watt incandescent lamp brightness, but to produce more high brightness LED lamp becomes more difficult, because the heating cost of high brightness LED lamp has been higher than the cost of its service life.

NanoLight is not only a good solution to the problem of heat, but also very low power. Typically, it takes only 12 watts of power to provide the equivalent of a 100 watt incandescent bulb of about 1600 watts, largely thanks to its special distributed design.

However, three Tom Rodinger and designer Gimmy Chu, Christian Yan now says that they make the stereo circuit board and welding technology used at present has not yet fully mature, therefore, they have already started in overseas fund-raising three kinds of models of Nanolight platform, including 12W (equivalent to 100W incandescent lamp), 10W (equivalent to 75W incandescent light), 12W (1800 lumens), each priced at around $50. To raise funds to help them improve the process, to prepare for the NanoLight market.
