Ann Arbor City Council since Michigan purchase 10 to 0 lamps by 72500 dollars, Ann Arbor will meet the 125 Broadway bridge lamp new decorative LED lights. The Nate of the new LED street lights will save up to 50% of the energy and lighting maintenance costs.
Geisler in engineering that future projects will continue, will eventually replace the 2000 LED street lights. The city launched in 2007 LED lighting upgrade project to reduce lighting energy and maintenance costs. And the use of state and federal funding to expand the lighting project to the peripheral DDA area. Geisler said a small part of the U.S. Department of energy allocated $124 million in energy efficiency energy-saving allowance to pay on a project cost, leaving most of the money is used for the LED lighting upgrade project. Broadway is the only area in the city where old lamps are used. At present, DTE energy company has another 5 thousand LED street lights, all over the city. But city officials have said in the past that DTE's products are not energy efficient, so the new scheme should have better benefits.
