13 trends in the future development of the lighting industry (two)

Trend 7: transparent, invisible, illusion

Light is an invisible part of space design. Lighting hardware facilities become increasingly low-key. The LED chip and circuit printed on a transparent sheet and wrapped in a semi mirrored box look as attractive as a jewelry box made of light. A new type of lighting material that can be integrated with the building structure or decorative elements will bring unknown potential to the integration of lighting and architecture.

Trend 8: pure light

Lighting designers now highlight the potential for creating ultra-thin light. LED has realized the new possibilities of building this kind of light and carefully through light. The lines of light can be hidden in the ground, walls or ceilings, can also be suspended in space, or as the old science fiction movie, as vividly as possible in the three-dimensional space.

Trend 9: Green

Because of the symbolic significance of religion, society, or superstition in some cultures, green is considered to be a more difficult application. However, it is still very popular for its other meanings, such as forests, fields, fresh and spring. The use of the latest solid-state lighting color mixing technology, beautiful emerald green light can become a reality.

Trend 10: Optical Technology

The technique of controlling the beam with an accurate lens and reflector is called optical or optical engineering. Special optical lens used in lighting device given (chandelier spotlights, etc.), the lens depends on the choice of light source for use (such as LED, halogen lamps etc.) and its purpose: uniform wall wash lighting, highlight details, etc.. The more accurate the optical lens is, the more effective it will be.

Trend 11: museum lighting - determine success or failure

Light as air. We all need it, and we can feel it very strongly, but it's often instinctive. If a person feels uncomfortable in a certain space, poor light may be one of the reasons. Especially in the art exhibition space, lighting is one of the main factors to determine the vitality of the work. Each exhibit or painting needs to be dealt with separately, thus reflecting the qualities the artist wants. The delicate balance of light and shadow can set off the outline of the sculpture, and the fine adjustment of the light will enable a painting to reach an almost three-dimensional level.

Trend 12: follow LED after OLED

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) is a rising light source after LED. Unlike the LED lamp with a point light source, the lens or reflector is used in the spotlight and the wall wash light, OLED is a soft diffuse light surface, as has been shown in the display technology. Its application from billboards to works of art is very extensive. The combination of LED and OLED will enable designers to create a bright space, lighting a type of never heard of before.

Trend 13: synesthesia

Light is often combined with perfect design in order to enhance sensory experience. September 2013, in order to cope with the concept of lighting, we work with Shiseido, created two custom perfume. Light and fragrance are essential elements of the atmosphere, but at the same time they are extremely difficult to control and describe. A new challenge in the future may be a new trend in the fusion of light and fragrance.
