14 important parameters on LED lighting

1 forward operating current If:

It refers to the positive current value when the light emitting diode is emitting normally. In actual use should be based on the need to choose IF below 0.6 ~ IFm.

2 forward operating voltage VF:

The working voltage given in the parameter table is obtained under a given forward current. Generally measured at IF=20mA. The working voltage of the LED is VF at 1.4 ~ 3V. When the outside temperature rises, VF will fall.

3.V-I characteristics:

The relationship between the voltage and current of a light emitting diode, when the forward voltage is less than a certain value (called the threshold), the current is very small and does not emit light. When the voltage exceeds a certain value, the forward current increases rapidly with the voltage.

4 luminous intensity IV:

The luminous intensity of a light emitting diode (LEDs) is usually the direction of the line of light (the direction of the axis of a cylindrical tube). If the radiation intensity in the direction of (1/683) W/sr, then the luminescence 1 Candela (symbol CD). Because of the general LED light-emitting two intensity is small, so the intensity of light emitting candles (Candela, MCD) as a unit.

5.LED luminous angle:

-90 DEG +90 DEG

6 spectral half width:

It represents the spectral purity of the led.

7 half angle 1/2 and angle of view:

1/2 is the angle between the direction of the luminous intensity and the axial direction of the luminous intensity.

8:

According to the angle of the LED luminous solid angle, also called the plane angle.

9 perspectives:

Refers to the maximum angle of LED light, depending on the angle of view, the application is also different, also known as light intensity angle.

10 semi:

The angle between the normal 0 degree and the maximum luminous intensity value /2. Strictly speaking, it is the angle between the maximum luminous intensity value and the maximum luminous intensity value /2. LED packaging technology led to the maximum luminous angle is not normal to 0 degrees of light intensity, the introduction of deviation angle, refers to the maximum luminous intensity corresponding to the angle between the normal and the angle of 0 degrees.

11 maximum forward current IFm:

Maximum forward current. Exceeding this value may damage the diode.

12 maximum reverse voltage VRm:

Maximum reverse voltage allowed. Beyond this value, the light emitting diode may be damaged by breakdown.

13 working environment topm:

Ambient temperature range for normal operation of light emitting diodes. The light emitting diode can not work normally when the temperature range is lower than or higher than the temperature range.

14 power consumption Pm:

The maximum value of the forward voltage and the current flowing through it at both ends of the LED. Above this value, LED heat, damage.
