2007 notebook LED BLU costs about CCFL higher than 2.7-3x. LED manufacturers predict that the difference will be reduced to 2.3x in the first quarter of 2008, while the average price of LED (ASP) decreased by 20-30% per year, so they hope that in the late 2008, the difference can be reduced to 1.5x.
The industry believes that when the notebook with CCFL BLU LED difference is less than 2x, you can stimulate LED manufacturers to mass production. LED and BLU only at the cost of the cost of the notebook occupies a very small part, so the price will not be hindered LED instead of CCFL, and the two prices are gradually approaching, so LED is only a matter of time instead of CCFL backlight notebook.
